The EURAC Group is a leading manufacturer of brake discs, and has been supplying the automotive industry for over 50 years. With a reputation as one of the world’s best, it has two foundries that form part of three advanced manufacturing facilities in the UK, Germany and Czech Republic, which specialise in brake disc production.
Based in Poole, EURAC’s UK business is growing fast thanks to its state-of-the-art plant and processes, married to a customer base that includes vehicle manufacturers and the motor racing industry. With demand for its products high, and candidates with specialist manufacturing, machining and engineering skills in the UK getting scarcer, recruitment across the manufacturing and engineering disciplines is always on EURAC’s agenda.
“We cast and machine brake discs for the automotive sector and, therefore, require a number of specialist skills from Design Engineers through to CNC Machine Operators, Machine Setters, Maintenance Engineers, Foundry Hands,” said Claire Keep, HR Manager.
“We were introduced to Hiring Hub in 2013 and it has proved a really useful website for us, and one that has both streamlined our recruitment process and sped it up.
“We’ve filled a number of vacancies, and all with a quick turnaround. To give an example, the last job we uploaded on the 4th day of the month, and it was filled by the 17th, so it does work extremely quickly for us even for technical roles across manufacturing and engineering disciplines.
“I like how easy the website is to use. It takes a few minutes to upload a vacancy and we generally get a response from recruitment agencies on the same day, with candidates being submitted shortly after.
“I get a lot of support from my Account Manager too, who is always at the end of the telephone to help – I lean on that support a lot as it takes some of the administration away from me, and greatly reduces the time I spend repeating myself when talking to recruitment agencies!
“Hiring Hub is a pretty simple idea, but it’s often the simple ideas that are best. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other employers within the manufacturing, automotive and engineering sectors – or any sector for that matter – as it works really well and doesn’t cost us anything to use.”
