Point Eight

“We had a response within three hours and filled what was a very technical sales vacancy in just one week, and at a fixed price that we set!” Andrew Wall, Managing Director

Based in the Midlands, Point Eight is a UK manufacturer that designs, builds, and installs stunning interiors in the public sector, specifically libraries, schools and commercial environments. Its Managing Director, Andrew Wall, traditionally finds recruitment a challenge so he used Hiring Hub to fill a specialist sales vacancy. He was stunned by the response: from posting his job to hiring a candidate, the process took just 7 days. Here’s his story.

“Hiring Hub provided us with a one-stop-shop for recruitment, which reduced the time we would normally have to spend liaising with recruitment agencies. That’s really important for us, as we’re a busy manufacturer, so we need to allocate our resources effectively. Hiring Hub enabled us to do exactly that.

“For me, in particular, it meant I could get on with my role as Managing Director of the business without having to deal with the contractual obligations that recruitment agencies often try to throw at you. Hiring-Hub negates that.

“Our sales staff are quite technical and specialised. They have to be multi-disciplined. They need to be able to understand our abilities as a manufacturer, they have to be able to design, and they should have a good approach to corporate governance as we’re operating in the public sector market. They must be sales professionals in order to sell our product effectively.

“When we posted the vacancy on Hiring Hub we had a response within three hours, and we were able to fully recruit that position in seven days! We took that candidate on board within a ten-day window. So for us, it meant we filled that vacancy and a very important hole for us, in a region of the country where, currently, we have no base or office.

“The best thing about Hiring Hub is its simplicity. It was easy to use. It was at a fixed price, and there was no risk to us. I would recommend it 100%.”
