How recruiters can build a killer profile on Hiring Hub

First impressions count, and your profile will form the basis for the criteria on which you will be judged suitable to work on roles. So make sure you stand out from the crowd by creating a killer profile.

Imagine this – an estate agent calls you to sell a house. They have a blurry picture of the front porch, and some half-baked description of the house’s features. Would you buy?

First impressions count, and your profile will form the basis for the criteria on which you will be judged suitable to work on roles. Take this opportunity to show off, shine, and impress using our quick guide below.

Your profile consists of 4 elements: personal biography, company profile, branding, and a photo of you. In addition to these, you’ll collect reviews from satisfied clients, which will boost your overall rating (?)

Your personal biography is all about you – your philosophy and your ideology around candidate care; why you’re good at your job, and why you love it. Recruitment is a funny business – it is as much about the individual consultant’s capability as it is about the company, so give yourself a space in the spotlight as well!

Your company profile is a chance to outline your company’s mission statement. What makes you different from the other recruiters out there? What are your values? Which industries do you excel in? Most importantly, this is where you briefly outline your processes to reassure the client of your capabilities to source for them.

To this already wonderful explanation of why you’re the best, simply add your logo, and upload a photo of yourself – keep it friendly and professional (best to avoid photos of you wielding swords or riding bareback on a horse… just your smiley face on a plain background is fine)

You will need to get these bits sorted before engaging on roles, so best to get started now! Log in to Hiring Hub and click on your name in the top right-hand corner – you’ll see a drop-down menu with a link to your company profile. Click that, and when the page loads, simply hit “Edit Company”.

You can use what you already have on LinkedIn and your website, or re-invent yourself by starting afresh – you have full creative control!
